I sleep through every alarm. Will this actually work?

Alarmco is built for exactly that. The alarm keeps ringing until you finish a challenge, so you can’t switch it off in your sleep. And if you still don’t confirm you’re up, someone you trust is woken to check on you. No app can promise you’ll get up, but it’s much harder to sleep through two people.

Who should be my backup, and will they get woken up a lot?

A partner, a friend, a parent, a flatmate: anyone with Alarmco and an account. You ask by username and nothing is set until they accept. After that they only hear from Alarmco on mornings you don’t confirm you’re awake within the delay you chose. They see your username, the alarm’s time and whether you confirmed, never your alarm’s label or notes.

What kind of challenges are there?

Camera ones (find the sky, some greenery or a QR code), voice ones (read an affirmation out loud), mind ones (maths, sequences, flags) and action ones (squats, shaking, tapping). You choose one for each alarm and can try it first.

Can I wake up with my friends?

Yes. Start a group, and anyone in it can set an alarm for everyone at the same moment, each in their own time zone. Everyone picks their own challenge and sound, and you’ll see who got up first.

Can it replace my phone’s Clock app?

That’s the idea. Alarms, timers, a stopwatch and world clocks are all here, plus sleep sounds. They work offline and without an account; only backups, groups and keeping your progress need one.

Is it on iPhone and Android?

For now Alarmco is on iPhone, and needs iOS 26 or later. The Android version is in development.
